About
Experienced across different layers of web development with a strong focus on writing efficient, secure and easy-to-read code.
I started programming in 2008 while still in school. At university I developed firmware for Atmel microcontrollers in C and later moved into web development.
My main strength is growing projects from small startups into large-scale SOA-based distributed applications that serve millions of users.
I have worked both in outsourcing and product companies across a wide range of domains — banking, healthcare, online games and many other web applications.
Currently I work at a company that develops DDoS protection solutions and high-performance HTTP accelerators.
As a Team Lead I improve team efficiency, help with onboarding, guide teammates through complex problems and carefully monitor internal processes to achieve the best possible results.
I also have several complete pet projects that demonstrate my skills — you can find them on my website.
Experience
At Tempesta Tech I developed Python applications for traffic analysis and DDoS protection, worked extensively with raw sockets, researched vulnerabilities and implemented protections against them. I also maintained and evolved the company infrastructure and created functional and stress tests for both internal products and external clients. Participated in the development and maintenance of open-source projects here: https://github.com/tempesta-tech/ and also contributed to MariaDB and DDN.
As a Technical Lead, I conducted interviews and was responsible for the architecture and implementation of several internal projects.
At BitBanker I implemented new features such as deposits and loans, integrated KYC/KYT services, and worked extensively with various blockchain networks. I also identified and resolved performance bottlenecks as well as security vulnerabilities.
At Alarstudios I worked on a healthcare application with more than 15 million users. My main responsibilities included developing new features (such as localization support for over 10 languages, including Chinese and Arabic), fixing bugs, building a social network and several related technologies, ensuring HIPAA compliance for medical data storage, and preparing the code for FDA certification. I also rewrote legacy parts of the system, performed optimizations, and as a Team Lead focused on designing architecture for complex cloud-based applications and social networks.
At 42Coffeecups I developed and maintained blogs and e-commerce stores using Django. My responsibilities included implementing new features, integrating payment systems and third-party services, optimizing performance, fixing bugs, and supporting existing projects. All work was done fully remotely with a time tracker and an internal bot for task management.
